Bengaluru: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara on Tuesday expressed grief over the death of Neeraj Yadav, a three-time Asian Para Games gold medallist, paying tribute to the athlete’s achievements in javelin and discus throw.
In a statement, Parameshwara said Yadav’s accomplishments had brought immense pride to the country and extended his condolences to the athlete’s family, friends and the sporting community.
“Deeply saddened by the tragic passing of Neeraj Yadav,” he said, praying for the departed soul to rest in peace.
The deputy chief minister also stressed the importance of emotional support during difficult times, saying no one should have to face overwhelming challenges alone.
He emphasised that seeking help was a sign of strength and urged people to approach others’ struggles with compassion and understanding, adding that every life was precious.
