Kumaraswamy Alleges ‘Sting Syndicate’ Conspiracy to Oust Siddaramaiah

Bengaluru: Union Minister and JD(S) leader H.D. Kumaraswamy has alleged that a purported “sting syndicate” conspired to remove Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah from office, demanding the immediate arrest of everyone involved in the alleged sting operation.

In a statement, Kumaraswamy described the alleged plot as a “Brutus conspiracy” against a senior Congress leader, claiming that members of Siddaramaiah’s own party were involved. He said the alleged conspiracy and those behind it had now come into the public domain and called for accountability.

Kumaraswamy said he had discussed the issue with Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh and demanded swift action against those allegedly involved.

The JD(S) leader said he staged a dharna outside the Police Commissioner’s office to press for action. He also alleged that JD(S) workers and social media volunteers were being harassed while raising the issue.

Demanding an end to the alleged harassment, Kumaraswamy said the police should investigate the matter impartially and ensure that everyone responsible faced legal action.

“Accountability cannot be selective,” he said, reiterating his demand for the immediate arrest of those allegedly involved in the operation.

The allegations come amid political tensions surrounding the alleged sting operation. The claims made by Kumaraswamy would require verification through an investigation, and the allegations against any individuals should not be treated as established facts without supporting evidence.
